Consultation and Training for Professionals
At Evolution we tailor training packages for groups and organisations who work with young people and adults and wish to gain a better understanding of the practical, psychological and social complexities of self-destructive behaviour.
In the past we have provided specialist training to secondary schools on:
- Eating disorders
- Self-harm
- Mental health concerns
- Family issues
- Sexual health
- Drug and alcohol awareness
Audiences have included senior management, heads of year, other teaching staff and pupils. Training has taken the form of lectures, power point presentations, interactive discussions and role plays.
In addition to working with secondary schools we have provided trainings to nursing staff, other health professionals, counsellors and psychotherapists. Examples include:
- Group supervision to nursing staff and other health care professionals working in a hospital setting for adults with eating disorders
- Half-day and whole day training events on understanding eating disorders and self-harm – a developmental approach, for school nurses, counsellors and psychotherapists
We also offer:-
- Consultations regarding organisational and managerial concerns
- Multi-disciplinary team building events
We work together with groups and organisations to create training and consultation packages to meet their specific needs
